A decoration of a far away eastern, a sumptuous effect that reminds the beauty of the Renaissance colours applied and inspired by the “eye” of the feathers peacock.
It appeared in Faenza at the end of the 15th century, according to a local legend associated with a love story between the noblewoman Cassandra Pavoni and Astorgio Manfredi of the Faenza Lordship.
